Atmospheric and relaxing, buzzing and abrasive; the debut release from Vinterskogen was (for the most part) recorded in the aftermath of a November snowstorm, and is a six-part journey through a snow-covered landscape. Realized through lengthy stretches of buzzing, guitar-only black metal, clean atmospheric guitars, cold drone ambient and field recordings; these six movements alternately invoke images of gentle falling snow, furious snowstorms and the aftermath thereof.
